Hello,I need some general settings advice for a inside well lite church wedding.Ill have my tripod as well as my flash gun.Im in the family so im not the main photographer.Im taking some alomg side him.

Ill probably switch between the sigma and kit lense.Whats some good baseline settings for the camera?Im sure its mostly still pics with a few moving ones.

Should I stay in AV mode or M mode for shutter speed?Im looking for the safe mode to go.Sorry if this is too broad question.

Thanks

Av mode ISO1600 lens wide open. Stay out of the pro's shot and the pro's way. If you're standing beside him and he wants to get a wide shot of the church he won't be able to if you're in the aisle.

What is it you're trying to do by duplicating his shots and potentially getting in the pro's way? Build a portfolio? Play? Because really you're more that likely to make the real pro's shots worse if you're moving about in the church.

He may not mean "literally" alongside him.

I'd bet otherwise. Usually people say "I'm just a guest and will be snapping my own pics" or something like that. They don't usually say "alongside" unless they really do mean "up his butt." OP can come back and say I'm wrong but I wouldn't believe it.

My favorite part is that he "had his tripod". It's hard enough shooting around someone else -- but their tripod?!?!?!

Icing on the cake -- the wedding shooter used OPTICAL triggers !!!!!
