I'm thinking this is worthy of printing on photo paper. Maybe not poster size but at least make it "real" and put it up on the wall.

Tehnically, I cannot fault the image: Lighting, coloring are spot-on, and the rule of thirds is adhered to, but.
Creatively, there isn't any engagement between you and the subject - he's just staring off into the middle distance, and from the point of view of the photographer, his body language is similarly closed and turned away.

I'm glad that colors are OK as I watch this on a laptop screen. This was taken on the run as is always the rule when dealing with a 2yrs old :)
I do agree that there is nothing "special" about the pose but I prefer taking candids with the kids. I will be working on model/camera relationship with my wife when trying to practice at doing glamour and nudes.
Thanks for the comments.

This is why patience is a key attribute of a child photographer. Whatever it takes to get that shot! :)

I disagree about the colors. It seems a little warm to me. Maybe too much yellow/orange. It's most likely that the shirt is reflecting on his skin an orange cast. I am viewing this on a calibrated monitor.
I can totally understand about photographing a two year old. I find the 70-200 f/2.8 to be invaluable for catching those expressions. No matter how far they run (within reason) you usually can still zoom in and get a nice shot.

I also agree with it apearing a little yelow/orange. I also agree with Fenster about patience being the key. My wife and son were gone all day yesterday so I decided to do a "day in the life" shoot with my 1 year 8 month old daughter yesterday. Let's just say that my patience and shutter were pushed to their limits. Shoot, shoot, shoot and then shoot some more and your bound to catch that perfect shot or a cramp ;)
