Hi! I don't know if this thread exists, but I can't find it. I have grown out of my dear camera bag that i've used since 1991, and I have always hated it anyway. Now I'm considering to buy a Domke F4, it seems very robust and tough. However, what worries me is the absence of a zipper. As I travel to East Africa quite often, dust is a very big concern to me. I'm not talking about regular dust, I'm talking about extremely fine particles that seems to go everywhere. Is there some kind of additional cover that you can buy for this bag? Any ideas of another bag? Looking forward to some comments! /Belker

The Domke bags are simply wonderful, and will last forever. However, as you noted, they don't have a zipper, so seem more open to dust than other brands which do have them. This lack of a zipper is an advantage in other ways, as packing can be more flexible without the necessity of securing the zipper. As for a dust cover, Domke doesn't make one, but rain covers for belt or shoulder packs may meet your needs. Kata's (essentially what Domke used to market as their Quest line) products have "Element Covers" which may do the job for you; otherwise look at some of the LowePro and Tamrac bags.
