Above, former L&C Railway 2-8-0 is serviced between passenger trains in New Hope, Pennsylvania. She was built for the L&C, but was sold by that railroad in 1947. In 2006, current owner New Hope & Ivyland put her back in L&C lettering for a photo charter.

In 2004, the L&C ran a few dinner trains in South Carolina pulled by their well-known EMD end cab switchers.

Freight business was picking up and the railroad decided that putting together all those little engines -- seven in the above shot --wasn't making sense anymore.

So now they own three bigger motors and lease four more.
