They are the best dogs ever. They get the worst rap. Give them unconditional love, and they will love you back forever.

I have 3... problem is when they bite they just don't let go like other breeds... but not bad dogs just bad owners...

The media blitz has not helped at all, hell almost any dog attack is labeled as a "pitbull attack" these days. If you abuse your dog, or leave it chained up all alone in the backyard, it is not going to be very nice. What a surprise eh?

They were used years ago to catch baby calfs. There front teeth would latch onto the calfs nose. That is what I read somewhere in one of my researches on the breed.
I did rescue for years and found this breed to be the sweetest and most loyal, people loving dog. I have one Am Staff and 2 pit mixes, a lab/mix, shep/mix and a chihuahua, all rescues from NJ except my lab/mix, found her in the street down here in Fl.

R.Perez, is Lucy going to Hawai with you?

You're right, the media and gangsta's ruined and continue to do so to this breed! Bad owner=bad dog! No dog is born mean!
I am a huge Pitbull advocate!

ps: looked at your blog, your photography is great! Beautiful pics!

She is going to be staying at my moms for a few months. I am moving for school and have a job plus financial aid that takes care of my expenses. But my partner Megan will need to find a job before we can get anything bigger than a studio apartment. Once she lands a job and we move up to Kailua and get a 2 bedroom I am going to bring Lucy out to Hawaii.

Hey thanx I really appreciate that. I just got my DSLR about 6 months ago and I am already hooked.

We own 6 pits and have 2 young children and the love that goes between the two are wonderful. They are so easy when it comes to the kids.

They def. have a bad rap and I don't think anything will change most of the public's ideas about the breed.
