Nice shots!! You sure have the right glass in your hand for that kind of photography. One in particular I find outstanding...(0895). I am expecting the 300f4 IS later this week or next and I had heard about the creamy bokeh and now I saw it in your shots! I used to have the 135F2 and know how great of a lens that is.......was this all natural light? How far away were you? Thanks for posting.........

WOW

Steve ... these are outstanding images ... I knew about the 135/2.0, but the bokeh of the 300/4.0 L is to die for - my favourite images are 0729, 0757, 0849.

Those animals are regal ... it's an incredible opportunity to have these at display so you can take some pictures.

Thanks for sharing!

Best regards,
Andy

PS: I also like your water drop gallery very much :D

Why did you do this to me.......lol

I have been debating between the 100-400 and 300 f4 for weeks now and I was started to lean to the zoom.......now I have seen your pics and it reiterates that I love the sharpness of the prime

Very nice images!!

You read my thread about the 300 f/4 and 400 f/5.6 and I had it the same way every time someone like IanD posted photos of the beautiful owls with the 400 f/5.6. Someday I will get the 400 too.

Great shots, all of them, but my vote goes to 895 and I also like 757. I have the 300 F4 and have had very little oppurtunity to use it since I got it, this post has made me plan somethng for this weekend, weather permitting.

Really nice shots. Did you happen to take these at the SF Zoo?

What a beautiful set of photographs. Canon's range of L telephoto primes 135, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600 are simply in a class of their own.
