The MIAA website is atrocious and after doing searches in the manual I've come up with nothing although I'm sure it's there. Anyone happen to have this information already on hand? Particularly looking at football & basketball.
thanks in advance,

Here's the only thing I can find:
Use of strobe lighting or on-camera flashes by photographers must be approved by the site manager. Requests
should be made well in advance.
Taken from page 4 of the MIAA "Working with the Media" Handbook found here:

I don't know if it works this way in MA, but the only time that the state HS athletic association's rules come into play in SD are for state tournament or other events officially sanctioned by the SDHSAA. All events and games not sanctioned through them (including all regular season games) fall under the jurisdiction of the home team (who can basically make up the rules as they deem necessary).

ah,! Surprised I missed this handbook. Hopefully there's some answers in there. Then again, that website needs to be updated to this century. :)
Thanks so much Derek!

And change them quicker than your flash can recycle.

True, the rules depend on which receiver dropped the ball "because" of your flash.. :D
