Hi, I have a powershot A100, yeah its old I know but its all I have for the time being and I have been asked to come and photograph a band tonight at a club.

Now I want to get the best pics possible so I can hopefully do it for the band in the future and other bands aswell.

Can someone give me a guide on what settings I should be using the maximise my camera?

It only has digitalzoom so I will have the be right at the front to get decent pics.

I'm not sure on how the lighting will beand dont want to use the flash if I can help it.

Thanks in advance :)

btw its tonight(10hrs from posting this) so please help asap.

Hey - I can't really help out to specifics cause I'm kinda new too and don't wanna give wrong Advise but I'd go before hand for a while and test out the camera in those conditions and get down your settings.

Thanks man, I'll try and do that when they are doing their sound check.

Anyone else have any good tips?

From what I know at clubs, it's almost impossible not to use flash, especially on a compact point and shoot. If you can rest it on something, or a tripod, then take long shutters. But the problem with that is that the band's probably moving.

Sorry... maybe somebody else can help you with it.
