Just curious...I just receive my XT from Canon's service center and noticed the firmware is 1.0.1. I wasn't sure what it was before I sent it in, so could a few you XT owners check your XT's firmware for me.

Thanks,

John V

I bought my camera pretty much soon after they announced it from B&H. It was 1.0.1 when it came to me and 1.0.1 after coming back from Canon's service center. No updates.

Thanks everyone. I'm still having focusing issues with my lenses and the XT. I thought maybe 1.0.1 was to help it...but I see that version is the base firmware.

Just to mention I sent in all my lenses and the XT because of back focusing and/or miss focussing issues. Still have problems...some lens front focuses now.

I'm leaving in three days on three week photo trip and I'm going to have to just stop down more than I like just to play it safe.

Not sure what I'll do when I get back. Seems like Canon needs to revamp their lens calibration routines.

1.0.1 on mine which I got just a week ago. No focus issues on XT at this time after about 200 shoots. Could you post some examples?

Someone posted this link in another thread... Maybe this will help you as well?

Thanks DZ...that's one of the tests I used but I really see focus problems in everyday shooting.

My 17-40mm f4L is soft on the left side with objects that are at infintiy...while the center and right side is sharp at infintiy. I can't believe Canon could not see that! I think a Canon tech sees a new lens and camera and assumes it just needs a focus calibration with out reading the workorder.

SHOWSP....Sorry I don't have much time to post images. Also I 'm just getting too bummed thinking about this all the time.
