I have a 20D with the vertical grip (although it currently thinks my batteries are always in need of being charged) and I am looking for a nice bag that I can carry the camera with the grip, a flash and maybe a lens or two.
I currently have a nice Lowepro backpack but there are days when I would just like to carry less equipment.
Any bag recommendations?
Thanks.

I have the same issue.
I bought the Lowepro Toploader 70 AW. I can fit my 300D with grip and 70-200L on camera. Typically I have the 17-40L on the camera with the 85mm at the bottom. Also in the front pockets, I hold extra batteries and CompactFlash cards.
With the optional slip-lock cases I can add additional space on the side. I use the SlipLock Pouch 60 to hold a 550EX an stuff.

tabrandt I believe you use the BG-E2 battery grip.
According to canon:
http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=PgComSmModDisplayAct&keycode=2112&fcategoryid=215&modelid=10464
"We have confirmed that the BG-E2 battery grip for the EOS 20D digital SLR camera causes issues such as the number of shots being limited or a low-battery warning being displayed immediately when used with a fully charged battery pack or a fresh set of AA batteries."
Concerning the bag issue, I don't have the grip, so my 20D with 17-85 fits perfectly in the Lowepro Topload Zoom 1.
You will have to go to a store and check out which one suites you best.

I do not know which backpack you have, but I like the Lowepro Micro Trekker 100 for smallness and still surprising capacity for gear.

Thanks lefteris,
Yes, I noticed this problem in a few other posts just the other day. I printed the stuff off of Canon's site and am going to take it back into where I purchased it. They are a exclusively Canon dealer and when I mentioned it over the phone they had not heard of the problem, but then I also do not think they are a high volume dealer.
I think I am going to check out that Lowepro Toploader 70 AW to see if it fits. The backpack that I have it one of the larger ones that hold everything but it get a bit much to carry when I only want to have my camera with me.
Thanks everyone.

Getting the right one can be a pain....
Just got a new Nature Trekker AW II this morning. At last iŽve got enough space for my "stuff". :D
But iŽll keep my tamrac shoulder bag just in case ;)
