Hello all,

First shoot/first post here! Was out at Corona Del Mar shooting. We got there a bit late so light wasn't what I wanted, but still got some decent shots I think. This was one of my favorites. I think it's a good shot, but not a great shot and I've tried some post processing to liven things up.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Original (resized to about 8%): http://fiverings.net/images/IMG_4809small.JPG
Version1 (sharpness/contrast adjustments): http://fiverings.net/images/IMG_4809.JPG
Version2 (further contrast adjustments): http://fiverings.net/images/IMG_4809b.JPG

Then I downloaded the Lightroom2 trial and mucked about to get this:

Thanks for looking!

Not crazy about it, sorry. The pose has the rock coming right out of her ass. I know you said you got there late and the light wasn't what you wanted. But it isn't flattering at all. some fill light would have done wonders. JMHO which worth less than $.02.

LOL...... Welcome to the forums!!!! :)

First, you might want to take a gander at the posting rules. I am not a mod, but this feels like glamour to me, and you need to "earn your stripes" first to post that stuff.

If you're posting in the critique section, its helpful if you give us your "best shot". If you are looking for help with a process, post in the appropriate sharing section and ask your questions. Critique is the proving ground. Throw only your best up here.

As for the photo, I can't argue with the other Mat, in the sense that there is just too much going on. There is super potential here with the model, so I'd give a go at a reshoot. I would like to see more light in her eyes, and less of the down-shirt angle, unless that's what you are playing up.....

But if thats the case, you're in the wrong place! :)

Edited to show what I think is the best. :)

Sorry if this is in the wrong place. It's a "costume" based on a figurine of an anime character. I wasn't going for the cleavage angle, but rather the most "fun" shot with the expression on her face and a fun pose.

edit: What section should I be in? =\ I've seen cosplay under "Performing Arts", but it's a bikini, so "G&N"? "People"?

I like the edit better.

As far as where it goes, I don't think there is anything about this that makes it possibly NWS, but its not my call. Generally, I have always thought that cleavage goes in G & N, but its admittedly a moving target. No ones complained, so ....... :)

I'm shooting her in a different costume in a couple weeks. Thanks for the feedback so far! :)

Somethings wrong with her gesture, not good. Maybe turning her head towards the light would make a better shot and if this would be a bikini shot then show more of her bikini
