I love the reaction I get sometimes when people see the big camera aimed their way... :D Her outfit was so colorful it was almost painful to look at.

Where are my sunnys when I need them? Too much colour is never enough...

Beautiful :D

A tad too much flash showing in her face (makeup?) for my liking, but otherwise a very colourful picture of an obviously cheerful personality.

Best regards,
Andy

Wow Lonnie... that is a lot of color on one subject but a great couple of photos!

I hadn't even noticed that, but you're right. Maybe it would have helped if I had the diffuser or soft box on the flash. I'm guessing it was from perspiration more than makeup. I was at the end of the parade route, and it was a pretty hot day (supposed to be into triple digits by the weekend).

Oddly enough, when I look at the original, the flash reflection doesn't look nearly as bad. Resizing it for display here seems to have made it appear worse (it also lost the fishnet pattern in her stockings). When I have some time, I'll have to re-edit this one and see if I can fix the flash reflection with the cloning tool before I resize.

Thanks for the comments, Carzee and Maureen!

 I wanted to ask you the same thing!

It's the last day of my vacation :(, so I have to try to return to my normal routine before going back to work tonight at midnight...

Ah, I am at work also. I work 6p.m. until 6:30a.m. three nights/week; usually Tues-Thurs.

Hope you had a nice vacation. I am going to Hawaii (Big Island) on June 19th.....

Twelve hour shifts, huh? I'd hate that. I work nine's. It took me a while to get used to that.

I had a great vacation. As usual, it seemed like it was over too soon, but when I look back and think about what I did, I really packed a lot into it. It seems like it's been months since I was at work... :D

I just noticed I misspelled "Colorful" in the title of this thread. Sheesh!

Thanks Sixshot and Suzanne. I think the second one is definitely my favorite of the two, also!

Hey! I've seen her before   . Nice shot Lonnie, you are so right the colors are very bright, It's a wonder the camera didn't have trouble metering on her.

Hey! I've seen her before   .

You've been to Disneyland, too?

was the photos taken in raw mode?

Yes, they were. With the 10D and 20D, I always shoot in RAW. My Olympus also has RAW mode, but it writes to the card very slowly and has no buffer, so once I trip the shutter I have to wait about four or five seconds before I can take another shot. That's probably my only complaint about that camera, and is the reason I never shoot RAW with it.

For a second I thought her outfit was painted on! The best thing (in addition to the color) is that beautiful smile.

Well, I don't know exactly what the camera was metering from, but that's definitely where I was looking!
