I'd just like to share this.
I'm still running Windows Me. Canon says DPP requires XP or 2000. The same is true for PSCS, PSE-03, C1 and RSE, which left me only Zoombrowser/RIT for Raw conversions. Rather glumly, I installed it. As a matter of fact, the software CD, apparently after inspecting my OS, wouldn't even allow me access to DPP. Then I noticed that on the Canon site there is a download of DPP available to people with RIT installed and I thought this might be a work-around in order to take a chance on trying to install it. Well, it works very well on Win Me!! I've been using it for more than a week now. Just one small glitch in that the "Fit to Window" view is truncated, but the 50%, 100% and 200% views are fine and I don't mind scrolling around the 50%.
So if anybody else is in the same boat, you might want to try it. No guarantees, of course.
