1st Big Pic In Print

Well I was on campus to pick up my credentials for FB and volleyball at the university I cover, as I am driving by the arena I noticed a picture banner hanging in the front along with 2 other banners. To my surprise one was mine, I have been published and have had covers before but this tops all that for now. From last years game WR lunging in for a TD with less then a minute left in the 4th to tie and go into over time.

Thanks for the comments, Matt I think the mother already has first dibs on that, she is one of the best buyers, she has been buying about every good pic of him for the last past fours years. He got red shirted last year after this shot so.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that you got that killer shot on a huge banner, but who asked you to use it and who does it benifit? You said you sell the images to the parents, so I can only assume they are your images. Did you get paid for this banner?

Bill, thanks that is going to be a tough one to beat, that is why we all keep doing what we love to do and strive to get something better then the last. But you are right this will be a tough one.

Chas, I work with a company that shoots this school, I was one of two photogs that was there to shoot the game, we upload to a server and the school has access to use these photos, I keep all rights, I get paid a game rate. I am not allowed to sell my images except for editorial use. The school however can sell to parents thru the school photo sight. I won't go into detail but this school treats us pretty well.
