I like the 2nd one better. Too bad that they are diff. sizes. The 2nd one has a more complementary background, it shows off the red flower better.

Redid the crop and hope this one is better. Also another flower I just finished.

I think #3 is better, may be cropping a small part of the top will be better.

I like the 2nd one better. The 2nd one draws my attention directly to the red flower.

3rd shot of the red tulip is my preffered shot.

In the other two shots of it you have cropped part of the petal, which I think detracts slightly.

Nice, sharp and very colourful.

Second shot is fantastic! I love it! I'm curious what lens you used though, because I don't see a macro in your sig. :)

I agree, just at the end of the dark area. Very nice.

I think I prefer number two. It just draws the eye to the red flower!

I used the 70-200L IS 2.8 with the 1.4 together on these shots.

Here is a new revised crop.

The the revised one looks best to me. If it had a little more below for a portrait crop and a slightly shallower dof it would be perfect.

I personally like both of them. If I had to choose I would say #1 because its more "complete".

The latest revised crop is the best or number 3 would be my next choice, I like either because you have the whole red flower in view. The first had too much yellow when the red was supposed to be centre of attention. They are all lovely shots, nice to know the 70-200 can do this type of shot, I would not have thought of it for flowers.

The all yellow picture is nice too.
