hi everyone

Here is a photo taken during the semi-final of the Super 12 Rugby League in my city (guys, rugby rules this part of the world, even though I am a big fan of Dwyane Wade.) Most people were either watching at the stadium (where the bright spot is), or drinking in some pubs in those obscure corners which we cannot see from this photo. I think the spot where I was standing was the most sober (also windy) place in town, but, hey, why would I want to be there while everybody was celebrating? I don't even know myself.

cheers

Here are two more from the same spot, from some trip couple of days ago.

Stormy weather.

very nice

in the first shot the lights of the city seem to be reflected in the sky ,
although the pinky hue may be due to the reflected cheeks of those celebratinghttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif

the middle shot does look like there was stormy weather
in the last shot the lovely patchwork of green fields can just about be seen
(was the shot taken at dusk?)

good guess, in the first one there was reflection of the light (esp above the stadium) around that time. And the second and the third were taken during a storm, at dusk, and later it started raining so I took off in a hurry.

very nice
I imagine that was taken a little later
amazing the change of colour
must be a beautiful sight when there.

I used live near the Dublin mountains and walk up at night and see all the city lights (and suburbs)spread out down below
it's a wonderful sight always, to see the lights from on high of any city
