Here are a couple of my shots from this past weekend's IndyCar race at Chicagoland Speedway. It was my first time shooting a night race and, oh my, I have LOTS to learn. Luckily, I think a few of them turned out ok. C&C is very welcome.

Man, I'm tired of Penske winning all the time! Nice shoot. How did you get so close to the winners circle? Did you have a photo pass?

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I never had a clue it was going to be so difficult to shoot the night race. Most of my images were shot in M-mode, 1/400-600, f/3.0-3.5, ISO 1250. As you can guess, at 1250, noise was definitely an issue but a run through Photoshop Elements made them at least usable.

Yes, I had media credentials for the weekend. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to secure Race Mode pit access during the IndyCar race so I don't have any of the awesome pit shots that many others were able to get. However, many more photos can be found at the following links:
