Exactly what it says! I need opinions on what internal 1tb hdd to get. I have 1 1tb hard drive at the moment and I want to get a couple more for backups.

Opinions please. :)

Seagate Barracuda are what i've been using for years, I've not had a failure or data loss yet, even with the big problem they had with one drive bios recently. I do tend to replace drives every 3-4 years as my data storage needs increase.

Thanks for the input...what's the difference between the WD Green and the WD Black editions?

Go read the WD website. It's to do the performance mostly.

Western Digital "RE3" drives. They're "enterprise" edition drives and supposedly designed to last. So far, they've never let me down.

How much more expensive are the enterprise drives?

Ah ok, about a 60% premium. Not sure if i'd pay it or just buy two normal drives.

How much more expensive are the enterprise drives? Tim, from my suppliers here in Oz, the enterprise versions are anywhere from 30 to 40% more (for a 750Gb drive). Not a lot really.

...and besides...as you would no doubt know, any computer component with the word "enterprise" in its description is automatically 30% dearer at least...even if it is exactly the same as its cheaper relatives.:D
