What is the difference between a circuliar and a non circuliar polarized filter?

Basically always use a circular polarizer, unless you've got a camera from way back when. Most modern cameras need a circular polarizer because it will allow TTL metering and autofocus to work correctly, linear polarizers will screw up one or the other, if not both. It has to do with the way the filter effects the light coming through the lens.

Thanks for the quick reply, I am looking for one on ebay and wanted to make sure I get the correct one. Looking at hoyas in the green box, is that a good choice?

Not sure.. Hoya filters are fine, just make sure you get the appropriate size for your lens. If it doesn't say circular I'd just email the person and ask. Maybe someone else knows hoyas by box color :)

And what is the difference between the 81a, 81b, and the 81c warming filters?

Just the strength of "warming." A is the low strength increasing upwards with the alphabet. They tend to give colors a bit more saturation. A lot of people will use an 81a or 81b to warm up skin tones for portrait work. Not really needed (IMO) as you can do the same thing with photoshop.

I don't have a digital camera, I have a 7ne. I could not afford a digital  I will go with an A or B filter then. Thanks for the help. :D
