What is the best ballhead I can buy in UK for around 150£?

I've been looking at the Benro J-0 or J-1. Anyone know of a webshop in UK who sells them?

The Markins M10. For that money, I would not get the Benro. I would read this review. (http://www.nikonians.org/html/resources/non-nikon_articles/markins/)

OK, but where can I get them in the UK?

Email Steve at www.markinsamerica.com and ask for the Markins dealer near you.

I think the M10 is a bit overkill for me, the heaviest setup I'll ever be using would be a 5D with 70-200 f/4L IS on it...with Lee filter system attached. think the smaller one should suffice. Also, I'll be using it on a Gitzo 1541...as per Markins own specs, the Q3 is perfect for the Gitzo 1-series.

Q3 is perfect but not for £150! If it's only 5D and 70-200 4.0 then the £60 Manfrotto 488 will do the job fine. If you can stretch then get the Q3.

If the 1541 has 180 degree folding legs, the Q3t is the one designed by Markins for it. The Q3t has no flange at the pano base, so the legs close closer to it.

I have the 488 now, but it has a bit of "creep" when you tighten it. Also, it's not that smooth...I'm looking for something a bit smoother. Guess I''ll get the Q3 for around 200£, which isn't too much of a strech..

tvphotog: it's not the Traveler I'm going for, it's the regular. I was just thinking in terms of size. :)

I am also contemplating just getting Manfrotto's Junior Geared head as most/all of my shots are landscape shots...don't think I'll be missing the flexibility of a ballhead that much...

Thanks, but it weighs almost twice as much as the Q3...

Ok, but you never said how much you wanted it to weigh, you just said about how much you wanted to spend :-)

Hehe, i guess so. The thing is, I am changing my Manfrotto 055XPROB to a Gitzo 1541 because of weight, and I need a ballhead to go with it...
