Reception Lighting Question

Can anyone give me some product referrals for a decent, but not too insanely priced, video light that I can use for fill at wedding receptions?

Can you describe the situation where you'd use a video light, and the advantage you think it has over flash? I don't see any way a constant light will help you much.
