Whats a good price for a G10 ?
I have an opportunity to acquire a brand new one for 299 + tax = $327
I'd appreciate your thoughts.
I plan on using it to replace my Canon SD1000 for an always handy camera.
I don't plan o printing shots larger than 4x6 so I think the G10 @ $327 is a better buy than the G11 @ $564 . I have a full DSLR set up with L Glass, but I think a G series would be great add on to my kit.
Sorry for the ramble, any thoughts / suggestions welcome !

make sure it's a reputable seller. That is a suspicious price.

I just bought it ! Haven't opened it yet.
While looking around at my local bestbuy for some hands on with the G10 one of the sales people informed me that they sold their display model for $250 last week. It wasn't on clearance but the item was being deleted from the system , so they marked it down.
I was shocked at the price so I had him do a search for the g10 at other best buys in the area. I went to the one that showed only one in stock hoping I could talk them down to that number.

The salesman at this store had no display and said he sold the last one even though the system showed one instock. He said he liked the camera becsue it ran off double A batteries .....

Hold the phone ! no AA batteries on a g10 !
So I had him get the keys and search the understock for the display.
5 min's later he comes back with a brand new unopened G10.
I told him that the other store sold the last one for 250 and had him ask the manager what they could do for this one.
5 more minutes later he said $299
score !!! I bought it. Then I came home and made this post so I could return it if my peers felt the g11 was a better buy.
