That is such an awesome pic! Great job, very creative, but as Jukas, I'm wondering what lens you used. 100mm f/2.8 macro? 180mm L macro?

Trust me, the dogs love to roll in them also. Then they get a perverse satisfaction from chasing everyone around the yard.

That is just a mushroom, not poisonous one. The scientific (Latin) name is Clathrus ruber, it is called "Witch's Heart" back in my country Serbia. I still haven't found this rare species after 15 years as an amateur mycologist! But a friend of mine has, you may find some photos at:

So, I was just looking for more ef-s 60mm macro lens opinions, but found its future subject.

Thanks a lot Milos for the information.
Doing myself a google search, I found that:
by Michael Kuo
Recent criminology research has determined that Clathrus ruber is a diet staple for psycho killers living in remote mountain shacks. This discovery, stumbled onto by a mushroom-loving grad student at Quantico who rearranged the letters of Clathrus ruber to get "RURAL BUTCHERS," may lead to the development of new FBI profiles and . . .
