Having given the EULA on my UK purchased copy of CS a fairly quick read through, I can't find, at first read, any reference to the (legal) use of my copy being restricted to within the UK. I may be wrong and missed an important section (it pretty dull reading ).

If I am right though and it is essentially legally unrestricted then why shouldn't I be able to download the CS2 upgrade from Adobe.com for the equivalent of GBP80 rather than do the same download from Adobe.uk for the exaggerated sum of GBP140. I mean I am physically able to download it and install it but what about the legality of doing so?

Any EULA experts out there who can shed a light on this issue?

Every country has guidelines/laws on import and export compliance. These guidelines vary from country to country and most definately outline software use in this regard.

Not quite an answer to your question but I think they won't accept your order without a credit card with an address in the US or Canada. Not necessarily a restriction on usage, just on the ability to buy.
