Hi,

I just gave a try to "BadCopy Pro" which can recover lost data on your memory card.
When I'm in the program it ask me to choose my device letter...but no trace of the CanonG2 (it list a:floppy, c:disk drive d:cd...etcbut no trace of an eventual e:CanonG2)
So to be clear: the CanonG2 appears on the desktop...but not as a drive (no letters)
I just have contacted the developper of BadCopy Pro...which tells me that the Camera must appear as a device drive, with a letter, to be accessible by the program...

Would someone please have time to clarify all this ?
What to do to have it appear with a drive letter ?
Is there a better tool to use than "BasCopy Pro" ?

Thanks very much,

If you really need the compactflash card to appear as a drive, get a card reader. They are cheap - as little as 20 to 30 dollars U.S.

Once you've got your card reader, there are a few more options - Norton Utilities is the best around, but for free you can get PC Inspector File Recovery, which does an exceptional job... there are still others around... I'd recommend either of those two though...
