How many pictures have you taken with your SLR camera?
Has anyone had any sign of the shutter going out of calibration?

I was wondering if the 50-100 thousand actuations of the shutter is an accurate estimation of the camera's life.

I don't know where I read it, but I believe the estimated shutter life of the 20D is about 100,000 actuations and the 300D/350D is about 50,000......maybe someone can post a link to a reliable source of information for you

I saw those exact numbers in a head to head comparison of the 350D with the 20D, I think on dpreview, though I can't seem to lay my browser on the article at the moment (probably in my bookmarks at home)....
