I think I resized these too small? Didnt include exif data? Can someone clarify for me what size i need to make these to fall into the less than 150 category?

use the save for web function in photoshop, just slide the quality up and down until you get just under 150 kb. you can go up to 1200x1200, but 800 longest side enables easy viewing.

your pictures are nicley exposed, the bird in the upper corner on the second draws the eye, I would clone it out. hope this helps

Thanks, I will go back in and resize when i get home, these have been pp in Lightroom with some contrast increase, wb as shot (sun was just coming up and had K at 5500), some saturation and sharping and luminence reduction, some cropping as well.

I cant seem to get my photos to pop like a lot that i see on here that are purported to be no pp.

I will resubmit as shot later tonight for comments and attach exif data as well.

With digital most everything you see will have PP, although most of the time it is being in the right spot, at the right time, with a camera in your hand, and the knowledge to use it= you get the photo with the "pop" you sooo desire.

Also if you have photoshop try image>adjustment>curves pull down the angled line a bit at the bottom left and up a bit at the top right to make a "s" that may give you the pop you are looking for.

I think it's the framing for me that isn't quite pulling it all off. The subject is nice, the colours are nice but their position in the scene calls for some working.

I think I would like to see the second shot a little more landscape. Perhaps some extra room on either side to show the isolation of the two elements.
