I've just returned from a very enjoyable week at the Belgium Grand Prix.

For the race I was sat in the grandstand between La Source and Eau Rouge, row 1 and about 15 feet from the near edge of the track. When those cars go by, you can feel your insides trembling.

An unforgettable experience, it certainly beats my more regular haunt (Croft on Tees).

Here's a few of the pics that I have processed so far:

Quite a difficult place to shoot from as a spectator. The driver and pit lane shots were taken on the Thursday pit lane opening, the three other shots are:

Kubica at the Chicane (Taken from the banking).
Button on the run down to Eau Rouge (Taken from the Grand Stand).
Fisichella on the run down to Pouhon (Taken from the banking).

C&C Always welcome.

John.

Thanks.

All shot with a 20D and a Sigma 50-500mm lens (except for the scrutineering shot which was a Sigma 10-20mm).

Not sure if I'm allowed to post my own pics in a thread started by someone else (I'm not entirely sure of the rules on this subject), but here are some pics I took during the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix. It was my sixth time I went there and this time I brought some decent equipment. All shots are taken from the Bronze area in Pouhon with a 400D and Sigma 70-300mm lens.

Thanks for the kind comments eyeryone.

Travelling back out to Kuwait slowed doen my processing of the remainder shots, but I've now got the last batch done and have created a second thread of pics from the event.

If you wish to take a look it can be found here: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?p=8666286#post8666286
