Hi everybody!!!

This morning I found a Sekonic L-256D in a pawn shop, perfectly kept, hard case, sync cables, owner's manual and even original boxes.
I'm 34 and know that stuff is probably my own age, but I couldn't resist the price and bought it. Whoever owned it before made sure it was safely saved, you guys have to see it, the only problem..... the battery is obsolete (Mallory TR-164 or Eveready E-164) 5.6 Volts, 17.00 mm diameter x 44.5 mm high.
I was wondering if somebody of you know of a replacement or if I can safely cheat it with a combination of existing batteries.
BTW I love this forum it has been a source of knoledge (and caused some expenses too) I would love to be more active in it, but english is not my first languaje and I limit to read, read and read your interesting threads.
Please, any suggestions would be highly appreciated as always.

Thanks,

ERamos

Hi,
I just bought a L256D flash meter as well. I found the battery needed, but mine came with NO manual. I would pay you if you would be willing to fax me a copy of your flash meter manual, or at least explain to me how to use this crazy thing! I understand how to set the ISO, I can see that there are f/stops listed, but other than that, I have no idea how this crazy thing works.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could explain to me how to use this.

Thanks,
Jennifer

I'll be glad to either fax or e-mail you a copy of my manual, just tell me how. You can e-mail me if you click on the Y! icon under my user name.

By the way this thing works perfect you won't regret it.

Regards,

ERamos

I'm so relieved to hear you like the flash meter, by the way. It's a cool looking meter! The battery was a challenge to find. Where did you end up getting yours? I got mine at excellbattery.com, but it was kind of expensive. Ebay has them for $7.50 plus $2.50 shipping. Thanks again for emailing me that manual!
