Sorry for a lot of shots, but this was a very special moment for me :D

Got an awesome 45 minute tour today of a private Cessna Citation X (fastest civilian jet in the world, able to cruise at mach .95). The cockpit is very nice! First time I have had a shot at a cockpit shot.

Wow great shots and lucky you. How did you wing that?
Is that at the London airport?

Wow, I want one of those!! Maybe if I trade in a L lens or two. Seriously great photos, the first one is my favourite. How did you manage to get the tour, are you in the market for one ? :-)

haha, yeah this is at london airport. I just walked up to the pilots, asked if I could take photos of their plane. Next think I know they are opening it up for us! :D!

my buddy's family owns a Cessna Citation II for their business. Him and I go flying all the time, in fact, we are flying to alaska this summer.

they are pretty freaking awesome, but you gotta be stinkin rich to own one.

He also owns (himself, not his family) a cessna 172, which is a basic, single engine prop plane.

We do most of our flying in the 172, since it is more economical, but every few weeks he brings up the Citation when we go on longer trips.

BTW, if you want a tip for impressing the girls, try picking them up for a date in a citation.

one time, we picked up a couple girls we just met, and hopped in the jet, and went about 200 miles north of here to a VERY nice restraunt in Traverse City, right on the lake michigan shoreline. and we flew back a couple hours later. It really impressed the girls. :)

Of course that time we had another pilot fly the plane (my buddy has his license and all required ratings, so he normally flies the jet when we go flying around) so we could sit and chat with the girls in back.

The Nick name for the Citation II is "SLOWTATION". The Citation 10 certainly cannot adopt this nickname. It is one bad machine.
