Not bad for my first sports pic out of the box with my Rebel XT. :)

I couldn't believe I got so lucky to catch his hit like this. I was running late for the game, and was running up to the field as he was walking to the plate. I whipped my camera out of the bag, brought it up and clicked in one motion, and this is what I got. I'm making him a mock SI cover out of it.

[edit] I replaced the pic with the SI cover I made.

I shot my daughters team all day yesterday (4 games) and didn't catch one like that, not for lack of trying! Very nice shot!

Thanks, fellas. Hopefully, as I get a better grip on this stuff, I'll be able to get some more shots like this. I know his mom is psyched about the SI cover. Once she gets me a little more info, I'll be able to finish it up.

Replaced original picture with mock SI cover. cc welcome. I'm not disappointed with it, but I think it could be better.

Thanks...I gave it to him tonight at the last game of the season. He loved it! I made a second copy that they are going to have framed and give to his grandpa. He's a huge baseball fan.
