Help needed re: G7 please

Hi

I'm leaving for the wkd in a few hours and called my local camera shop hoping to rent the Canon G10 for the wkd to see if I'd buy it or the G11 down the line.

All he has is the G7 to rent for the wkd. Thoughts? Is it fully manual, how is the IQ, etc. Will I get a semi-accurate perspective on the G10, or not at all?

Check sites like dpreview.com for comprehensive reviews of both cameras and you should find enough info to give you a good idea about the differences.

You couldn't pay me to rent the G7. I have one and it's a piece of shït. I'd take my old G3 any day over my G7. The G11 should be a decent purchase, though.
