My dad has an old camera that he wants to sell on ebay and was asking me how much I think he can get for it. I dont think this equipment has even seen daylight in 20 years. He is telling me the equipment itself is perfect, the carrying case, and lens cases do show some wear. He has a Fujica ST801 camera, vivitar 28mm f/1.4, vivitar 35mm f/3.5, vivitar 135mm 4.0, shutter release, extention tubes, 2x converted, and a polarizer. He also is telling me he has a 400mm f/6.3 lens, He doenst remember the brand. Is this stuff even worth selling and if so how much can I expect to get for it? If this doesnt belong in this forum please let me know where it should go. Thanks

you can log in to you ebay account and do advanced search on these items. In advanced search options check "show completed items".
The search will return only sold items that's been sold recently + final price. This will tell you roughly the price for this camera and lenses that your dad is trying to sell.

I remember those. That was, like, 1972 or so. Fuji was just breaking into the US market with both cameras and film. Their ad line was, "The Japanese see color differently."

None of it is worth very much, I'm afraid. There's tons of "ordinary level" film gear on the market as everyone has gone digital. Only especially nice or rare stuff has any real value.

Film cameras plummeted in value on the resale market. Even pricey stuff can be had for a song. A camera like the Fujica, which had only residual amateur market interest originally, would have little to no residual value.
