The Canadian Warplane Heritage Lancaster made an appearance at the Brantford Air Show on Sept 2.

I learned a valuable air show shooting lesson: location, location, location! I was too far down the air field and the Lanc would bank just before it got to me so I wasn't able to get very many good ones. Here's a few:

Nice shots of an iconic plane. Good prop blur too.

Nice Series

Aircraft often fly past the crowd line in a bank on purpose so you can see more of a planform. It's called a "Banana Pass"

Nice shots! I got to see that Lanc a couple of years ago when it made a visit to Long Island. Really nice airplane, and very well kept.

Thanks for the memories. I grew up on an Air Force base when Lancasters were the primary plane flying from it. My father was an aero engine tech on them at the time & did a lot of flying in them.
