Advice appreciated. I've seen a few tutorials on this including this one here: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=70386&highlight=replace
But unless I'm missing something, they don't quite solve the problem. I have a nice shot of a church, but the sky needs replacing - it's drab white. There is a large tree in this pic against the sky. Easy enough to replace the sky everywhere but through the tree branches. What's the best way to achieve this? I have PS7 & Elements2.

Easy enough to replace the sky everywhere but through the tree branches. Put the sky layer above & use a blend mode similar to this example:

Shift-Alt- +/- will cycle through the modes quickly 'till you find one that will work best.
Then add a layer mask> reveal all & paint out any blending in the forground of the pic.
PS Help is your friend! ;-)

Thanks for the replies. I seem to spend half my life reading 'my friend' the help files, but someone pointing the way always seems more helpful. I think the PS help files become more 'helpful' the more you know how PS works.
