I find the background hills rather distracting with this picture. Maybe if it was shot a little closer with the camera lower to the ground it may seem more imposing.

As soon as I saw the title I thought maybe it was White Rock B.C. Anyway...
It would be great if you were able to reshoot this photo at a time of day when the lighting is more adequate. The fact that it is completely in shadow Makes it dark and removes any real interest for me. I'm sure if the light was somewhat behind you it would brighten up the rock and the hills in the back. Maybe even a different angle? Try shooting from all angles an see what you get. There may be a better shot in store. :)
