So, we received our new display for our briefing room.
I didn't get make any money for this but the USAF Pays me to skydive so I can't be too greedy. :D
Here is the largest photo I've ever had printed.

I have made a few dollars from of this photo in magazines etc and I made postcards to hand out at our air shows/demonstrations etc.
What do you think of it?
Shot over the US Aif Force Academy, Colorado Springs.

That is a great shot. How many dives and pictures did it take to get it right?

That was the first jump with him using that smoke system. I got into work and asked if he would mind if I shot him. We planned the jump and fllight pattern and I shot about 80-100 photos in the 5 minute canopy ride. I went up with him again the same day but the wind started getting bumpy so the smoke wasn't smooth at all. The first jump was the one that got THE photo.:D

I used to. The very first time I was cleared to pack my own parachute it was a little nerve racking but I have over 1400jumps now so its 2nd nature.
When you first start jumping you go through the packing classes etc and then you are supervised for a bunch of pack jobs. you jump those pack jobs. but the first unsupervised one was a bit eerie.
Thanks everyone for the compliments.

Yes:D
On the canopy I jump now I pro pack. I have never actually Flat packed until I got the job with the AF. I flat packed for about 150 jumps then I started propacking after I was cleared to fly a z-p (zero porosity) main parachute.
But most of the cadets flat pack since they are mostly jumping big F111 mains.

So what main do you get to jump now as the instructor? I figured the cadets would stake pack as they have those big accuracy mains.

To tell you the truth I am not sure but its flexible enough to roll up when we disassemble it for travel.

It it actually three slats that slide together in the frame if you look closely you can see the seams. Its a durable material, as well.
