Got it last night, it was like waiting for Christmas all week.
Decided I would spend the day useing it and guess what, it has been raining for hours upon hours:mad::cry:

Was hoping to have some from both my daughter's ball games tonight, but it is way to wet for that.

Congratulations!
Is it the one with or without IS?
Would be nice and interesting if you could post your experience with that lens. IŽve read a lot about people complaining that the buttons and switches are easily pushed because of the not ideal location. Is it realy that bad?
That (IS Version) is on my wish list. I have the 100-400L IS. Sometimes i would need that f2.8 and not the big reach. But i wouldŽnt give it away. Even when i have a 70-200 L IS. :)

Have the 70-200mm f/2.8L IS. You have to be really clumsy to hit the lens when using it. I think they are in a good place. In a bag, they can be switched, but with my experience, I haven't had problems with hitting the buttons in use. If you hold the lens correctly with the camera, you shouldn't have a problem hitting the buttons, IMO. Go for it, its a good investment if you do decent to go with it.
I'm in photo journalism and this lens is very very important with its range. The only other lens that's more important would be the wide angle(the ideal one being the 16-35mm f/2.8L).
