Is it a chaffinch? Not sure where you are so it's hard to tell. Did you stitch on some extra tree? Great photo anyway.

IN the uk and no its not stitched it just an old apple tree ,i agree it does look stitched on.

As you say UK, I think it is definitely a male chaffinch.

i have no ider but pleased with the shot, took it with a 300mm f4 IS .

Excellent shot! Pretty bird, looks like what we chaps on this side of the pond call an oriole.

werid it does look stitched now that you mention it. that is weird.

IM going to check that tree out tomorrow as its dark here now and see why it looks stitched, its just a plane old apple tree .

Had a look at the tree and the dark midle branch is 3feet in front of the one the bird is on and with it being darker and the line it follow's makes it look Stitched its just the angle.
