and gals too! These meerkats were taken at Dublin Zoo this morning, they are great fun to photograph, they are active, but pause regularly to pose and they have cute faces. Feel free to comment, good or bad welcome and process away, if you wish.

Great shots, they have some at the nearby Sta. Barbara zoo, I'll have to go give a try soon, they are very photogenic.

Land Monsters! (as homer and CJM calls them) I love all Land rodents. They have some out back behind the 7-11, I always love to watch them when I get a slurpee. But I watch Prarie dogs.

That reminds me, we used to have Prarie Dogs at the Zoo too, but there enclosure has been empty for the last year or more, I must ask why? The Prarie dogs are great fun too.

(same zoo)
but not as good a close up
they are so skittish it's very difficult to catch them in a steady photograph
but we sure must look funny trying tohttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif
(these are my favourite fellows to see at the zoo)

When meerkats pose, they always seem to have some dirt around their noses.
Cute.

Thanx Marie, I always go for the one on Gaurd duty, he or she usually sits still for a little while. They are fasinating animals and have an amazing social structure.
Great shots PPFPhoto, I wonder waht the guy in the second photo is guarding against :-)
