The more I use it, the more I fall in love with it...

Edit: wow, what an horrible jpeg compression... Next time I'll post a link :D

It certainly gives an interesting perspective.

Thats what I really love about wides and ultrawides. I am really sorry that the compression is so bad that it really kills the shots. I will try to setup a link tomorrow (its night over here, and I am tired :D).

It doesn't look like a compression problem to me, more like a 'missed focus'. In the first one, I don't find any point of the pic that shows focus. In the second one, it looks like the leaves directly in front are maybe in focus. All of the pics on this board are jpegs and have to undergo some compression but the majority have a point of focus. Even mine... if only occassionally :):D
I do like the composition of these. Keep in mind this is simply an observation.

I just edited the original post changing the images, but still the compression is quite heavy. I can't manage to have these looking as they do in full size, don't know why, probaby because there is a lot of details and to stay in the 100K compression is too heavy. I agree with you on the fact that the 10-22 was not in hyperfocal (boy, I miss the plain old distance scale on the barrel...) so not everything is in focus. But still the compression degrades too much. And absolutely no problem, I have even the "post processing examples welcome" in my sig, as everybody else, I post to have opinions, and all of them are welcome.

Those are better Rob. I, too, like feedback... particularly something more than "good pic". We all desire to get better at what we are doing. My goodness, we don't spend the money that we spend, I don't think, unless we intend to improve.

I told yout that the compression was really terrible. If you want to take a look at the same (and other pictures) better compressed (because are smaller) go take a look at http://www.digitalpics.it/ and click on the Flower portfolio. The pics are smaller but the compression is much better.

And sure, we all want constructive critique and comment, otherwise it would just have no sense being here on POTN.
