I love taking photos of my animals. Here is one I took with my rebel, is this a photo anyone but me would find interesting?

Thanks for your input. Obviously I am still learning about the camera and photography - but this was just a point and shoot photo.

AllKatz:

Welcome to the forum.

We find all photographs interesting, some more so than others. Don't be shy, post away. Sometimes people will comment, sometimes they won't. Generally there will be positive comments with advice (if that's what you want) for any and all pictures that you would like to share.

BTW, I like your picture of the cat's eye. nice and clear and a very interesting perspective. Normally you won't get a cat to sit still for you like that, or else they are trying to play and bat at you with their paw!

Thanks John! I got lucky and have a fast finger!

I have a thousand photos of my 9 cats and 3 dogs doing the typical domesticated animal things, so I got really bored. I am excited to try this really in your face (literally) photography.
And yes, I am looking for any type of advice to help me move forward with my hobby.

given the how difficult it is to get a shot like this - you did fine. If I had my preference - I would have removed what ever it is that red in the back ground. Its a nit... but if you look at the image long enough you start to really see it - or at least I did.

Cheers.

I think its a great shot, love the window reflection in the eye, nice touch. I disagree with the background comment though, I think the eye is strong enough to hold the pic........Joe

Wow! That reflection is amazing. I can look right through your cat's eye and out into your back yard. It's a shame there weren't some naked babes out there!
