Hey everyone,

The website (http://www.brianmatiash.com) that I currently have was designed by BluDomain. I've been very happy with it but have recently been noticing aspects that I'd like to change. My specific criteria is that I'd like to be able to like directly to a particular image within a gallery. Right now, I tend to link to newly posted images on my Flickr account and that is just a misdirection of traffic. I'd really like viewers to go to my own website if they were interested in seeing a newly posted shot.

Unfortunately, BluDomain does not offer such a feature. The closest thing they have is being able to link directly to an individual gallery, not an actual image.

I was referred to BigFolio.com and, as luck would have it, they do have the ability to link directly to an image. Two problems, though. 1. The themes they had available were not very jaw-dropping for the price that they were asking and 2. the dealbreaker - they require you to host through them. I can't accept that as I pay for my own hosting currently.

So, if you've made it this far in my ramble, I'd like to ask if anyone can recommend a solid photo web design firm (or individual) who meets the criteria of linking to individual images and doesn't require me to host thru them.

Thanks in advance!

How about creating a gallery for your own host? I know Director makes this very easy for SlideShow Pro. It's what I use for clients websites, it's quick and simple to implement and is feature rich/customisable to give a unique look.

Downside is that it's Flash, but with Flash Player 10 it has a nice feature... Colour management and ease of use. Overall it's probably one of the best gallery/presentation extensions you can get.
