This photo wasn't planned or posed, I was just shooting while the kids were blowing bubbles. But I think I would like to print this one...is it worthy? What are your thoughts?

Nice shot. Very worthy of printing. What kit did u use and how much pp?

Terrific Catch.
I wonder about cropping it just above the green bottle and at the waist - just because I don't like the green bottle. I'm also not sure about chopping off his toes.
It might be perfect as-is, though - it's a great shot. I'd just try it and see how it looks cropped a wee bit.

Thanks Kid Colgan. I used the 55-250mm lens. For PP I did some levels adj. and some sharpening. Then did some skin softening on his face (it was quite dirty) and cloned out several water spots on his shorts.

Terrific Catch.

Thank you TsPoet! I tried a few different crops including cropping out the green bottle. But that chopped off his left hand and didn't look quite right. So I left it the way it is and I think it works. Now I wonder if I should maybe darken the backround a little?

While we're at it, I just finished proccessing this one and may want a print as well. I know the lighting could be better but not sure how to do that in post, any suggestions?

Wow, both the shots are REALLY good. Personally would reduce saturation a touch.. but nothing wrong the way they are.

I like them both as well, while I can live wit the saturation they seem just a pinch warm. I would either tone down the oranges, or lower the temp.

Thank you for the compliments! Can PS give them haircuts?

Well there's always cloning...

the second one especially is great, i would suggest a tighter crop though, even if only the blown sky.

Great job on the picture.. The very bright sky keeps the eye to the sky instead of the subject.. I would just crop out the sky all together. Hope you don't mind, thought id show you. Notice how your eye want to follow the log to the beautiful subject...

If you crop the bottle, you'll crop his hand. I think cloning the bottle out is best.

As for the PP on his face, I feel like you've lost the texture of his skin -- remind me of a glamour edit.

The photo looks kind of HDRish (perhaps its just the saturation).

I still think both shots are good and printable... I assume the intent is for personal use and looking back at these photos years down the road I think they will still be enjoyed.

Oh and in #2, I completely agree with the crop. I never like the fake borders -- but it does give you an idea how it will look framed.

Thank you everyone! I appreciate all the input and compliments. I like the crop in photo #2, didn't even occur to me. And cropping out the bottle in #1 definitely looks better. I will play around with these a little more, thanks again ;).

OK I'll throw one more in here for a good laugh...this one I may frame and keep it hidden until they're teenagers and bring it out for embarassment purposes only :lol::lol:

So cute!
I agree that the first one looks better without the green bottle.
Second photo is simply beautiful! I love the previous poster's crop along the log. Works very well.
