Nicd shot. Getting small birds to cooperate is impossible. Wish we had those in Colorado.

Mark ... you have orioles out there in Colorado. Not the Baltimore variety, I don't think, but you get Bullock's Orioles (http://www.birds.cornell.edu/programs/AllAboutBirds/BirdGuide/Bullocks_Oriole.html). Get yourself an oriole feeder (a nectar feeder similar to hummingbird feeders) and you'll greatly increase your chances of seeing one.
