Just bought a G2 from a nice fellow POTN member here. Tried a few shots . Still going strong and a great little camera . Couldn't be happier

My first good camera was a G2.
I got a lot of good shots with it, especially when you team it with Photoshop.
My mom is now using it and its still going strong.
Enjoy.

Yup, great camera. I've still got one. Mine needs a new battery though as it only lasts about 30 minutes per go...
EDIT: I sold off an SD880 back around the beginning of the year with only 100-ish shots on it because the decade-old G2 took better photos.
EDIT #2: I got mine right after they came out and got it real close to free. It was back when AMEX had pricematching on their cards. I ordered (4) cameras from Crutchfield for $800 each and pricematched them to $550 each from one of those shady NY places in photo mags. I then sold (3) of those cameras for $725 each on eBay during one of those "no closing fee" weekends. Anyway, end result is I ended up getting the G2 for ~$50 when it was brand new.
