Plain old pigeon-but in flight

I went on my first actual photo shoot this morning (early, way too early!) and was happy I was able to catch this somewhat common bird coming in for a landing. I know it's not an exotic species or anything but I considered it a success for my level of experience. Thanks for looking.

Nice capture! Did you crop the photo, or was it just naturally perfect composition? And I like the sharpness of the photo, too. Well done!! Good luck with capturing the Lesser Spotted Sea Eagle in the same pose!!:p

Although it's great to snap an exotic bird I think it's even better to get an interesting shot of an otherwise uninteresting bird. That's more skill than luck! Nice capture.

Thanks einstein and henleg for the nice comments. It is a crop. To tell you the truth, composition was the last thing on my mind! :) I was just hoping to get it all in the frame and sharp. And I will be on the lookout for the Lesser Spotted Sea Eagle next, ha!
