Nothing special but I was happy to get the shot fairly sharp. On the original image I can zoom in and almost see the pilots' faces. I know... I need the 100-400L. But right now I'm lucky to have the 70-200. Thanks for looking!

Dennis, A lot of people don't realise what it's like shooting something moving that fast. You did good, and while the 100-400 is a great lens, I have many nice aircraft shots with and old K1000 with a no-name 70-200. Keep up the good work.

Thank you Danny & Ben for your kind comments. I do plan to keep trying in search for that really special shot!

I thought it was a toy plane for a moment

Thanks Marie. I imagine the runway was about 500 feet from where I was standing. I can see why folks say to practice, practice, practice! This photography is harder than it looks!

Good shot.......the 70-200 is a good lens, even at a distance. I use mine with the 1.4TC for aviation shots. I am getting the 100-400 in a couple weeks, but only because I have a need to shoot some smaller military aircraft at a distance. My 70-200 is still more than adequate for passenger aircraft......

I think the reason I thought it was a toy plane , I never saw a real one that colour before
It looked like it was made of wood ...at first glance
