Coming home from holiday with 1300+ raws I have the problem that I need to convert them to jpeg in order for my sister to see them so she can decide which she would like prints from.
The problem is that PSCS does not have a really automated raw to jpeg batch mode. Bibble Pro which I have the trial version of can do this, however the default parameters provide a dull looking jpeg and to set each raw individually takes a lot of time.
Then I rememberd that ThumbsPlus which I have have a plugin that allows it to display and process raws (both cr and cr2) and the batch function in T+ is much more extensive.
And the best part is that the resulting jpegs look ok for review and selection of those photos that should be printet. I think T+ uses the in-camera settings to produce the jpeg meaning that the result will be very much like the jpegs my 20D would have produced.
So I have now created a batch job in T+ that reads the raw, resize it to 800x600 and saves the files as jpegs. I could also add copyright stamps etc in the same process.
