I recently got the chance to shoot one of the last 'Madchester' bands to still be going. Possibly the worst lighting conditions i've ever seen on a festival main stage, all of the photographer's just kinda gave each other that look thinking "wtf" at the start! All backlit and all red's, complete pitch black off stage so no fill there. Anyway, critique away and let me know how I did.

I think these are all really good considering the conditions. ISO 3200, wide open, 1/100th.. Can definitely tell it was dark here!

i like the set too...1, 5 and 6 are engaging. 2 and 4 are likely my least favorites (2 for framing; 4 has the conundrum of unbalanced light between instrument and face...not much you can do about that).

Cheers, as you can tell the conditions were awful!

Thanks alot. #4 was put in there just to show there was a guitar player and not just a lead singer! This was the only shot worth showing of him that I got in the 3 songs. I see what you mean about #2, sometimes bands like that kind of shot though.

Thanks alot. It really was awful! He even played up for the camera, probably knew we'd have little chance of capturing it without flash!

Thanks.
